وقال عبد الواحد السيد في تصريحات عبر قناة “إم بي سي مصر 2”: “كنا معزولين عن العالم، لكنها كانت فترة استجمام بالنسبة لي، كنت أراجع حساباتي بعد أن وصلت إلى مرحلة جيدة، وفجأة وجدت نفسي هنا وكنا في مكان جيد، ولا أستطيع أن أصفه بالسجن، كنت أتعامل مع الموقف بهدوء، لكن دونجا كان أكثر تأثرًا”.
وواصل: “لن أخوض في التفاصيل، لكنني دخلت الموقف بدلًا من لاعب آخر، فعلت ذلك بمحض إرادتي، حتى لا أترك اللاعبين بمفردهم، البعض قال (هذا حبسجي)، لكن لا، أنا دخلت بمزاجي، بدلًا من لاعب آخر قد لا يعرفه الناس ولم أكن طرفًا في الأمر، لكنني وضعت نفسي فيه لأكون بجانب اللاعبين، وكان وجودي مهمًا بجانب دونجا ومصطفى شلبي، خاصةً دونجا”.

واستكمل: “أتحدّى أي شخص أن يُثبت وجود فيديو واحد يُظهرني أهاجم فيه أحدًا، لم تكن لي علاقة بالمشكلة، ولم يُهمني ما قيل، أهم ما في الأمر أنني لم أترك اللاعبين وحدهم”.
وأضاف: “المشكلة تفاقمت بسبب الإعلام الرياضي، لأن الموضوع كان في طريقه للحل، لكن فجأة تم إغلاق كل شيء، في النهاية هذا ملعب، والموقف نفسه حدث سابقًا بين فريقين كبيرين في الإمارات، لكن الإعلام الرياضي ضخّم الأمور من لا شيء”.
وأكمل: “أما عن المشادة مع أحد الجماهير في جنوب إفريقيا، فقد فوجئت بأحد أفراد المجموعة التي كانت تسافر معي يقول لي إن بعض الأشخاص يرغبون في رفع لافتات معينة”.
واسترسل: “يبدو أن الشخص الذي كان في المدرجات أراد إثارة مشكلة وتحويل المباراة إلى أزمة سياسية، ثم فوجئت به يناديني ويطلب مني أن أعتذر له، وقال لي لفظًا غير لائق، وأنا لا أعرفه، كان بعيدًا عني، لكن لو كان أمامي (كان الله يرحمه)، كنت سأضربه، أنا لا أسب، أنا أضرب مباشرة، أنا متربٍّ جيدًا، ولا أستخدم الشتائم”.
ورد على سؤال هل سينتقل رمضان صبحي إلى الزمالك بعقد استثنائي؟ قائلًا: “أنا الآن خارج النادي، ولا أُبدي رأيي إلا في الغرف المغلقة. هناك لاعبين يحتاجهم الزمالك وسيُحدثون فارقًا كبيرًا مع الفريق. عندما كنت موجودًا، كانت هناك أسماء مطروحة جيدة بالفعل”.
وأضاف:” أنا ضد تفكير ضم لاعب من الأهلي ردًا على صفقة زيزو، الأهم هو أن أبحث عن مصلحة النادي، وليس الرد على أحد”.
وواصل: “أحمد الجفالي لاعب جيد جدًا، مشكلته أن عضلاته ضعيفة ويتعرض لإصابات كثيرة، وبالنسبة لتشجيع بيراميدز، جمهور الزمالك لا يشجع إلا الزمالك. لم أسمع يومًا عن مشجع زملكاوي يُشجع نادٍ آخر من قلبه”.
وردًا على التفويت لصالح بيراميدز: “كلام غير منطقي لو فاز الزمالك، كان لا يزال لديه فرصة لاحتلال المركز الثاني هذا كلام لا يصح ولا يليق بنادٍ مثل الزمالك وعواد حارس كبير، وقد أخطأ، لكننا لم نكن موفقين، وهذا أمر وارد في كرة القدم، ومحمود جاد، أمام الأهلي، ارتكب نفس الخطأ ووضع الكرة أمام لاعب الأهلي، فهل كان يُفوّت؟ بالتأكيد لا، ولا يوجد لاعب ينزل الملعب بنيّة التفويت”.
وأتم بخصوص تشجيع الأهلي في كأس العالم للأندية: “أنا لا أشاهد إلا نادي الزمالك فقط”.

Cricket South Africa is hoping to put bums on seats by throwing open doors to the CSA T20 Challenge, their domestic T20 competition, for free – almost. Tickets for the tournament – which features the eight Division 1 provincial sides, and will include 31 matches from October 17 to November 6 – have gone on for sale for as little as R1 (approx. 5.5 cents in USD) with a maximum price of R50 (approx. $2.75 US).”We want to have fans in the stadium to create a vibe, and we really want students to attend the games,” Pholetsi Moseki, CSA CEO told ESPNcricinfo.All matches will take place in Potchefstroom, a university town situated 120kms from Johannesburg. With all Covid-19 restrictions lifted in South Africa, stadiums can be filled to capacity, which means that up to 18,000 people could attend the every match in the tournament – a far cry from numbers seen last season.Fans were allowed back into sports venues when South Africa hosted Bangladesh in March and April this year, with numbers limited to 2000 for the first Test in Durban and increasing to 7500 for the second in Gqeberha.But neither venue had maximum attendance on any day, and during some periods of play crowds were only a few hundred. While that reflects a historical tendency for crowds at Test matches to dwindle, the South African Cricketers Association (SACA) believes it is also a consequence of pandemic-altered behaviour patterns.”When Covid happened, we changed how we watched sport, and now it’s our task to change that mindset again,” Andrew Breetzke, SACA CEO told ESPNcricinfo. “Maybe one of the ways is to go down to R1 a ticket to get people to come to the grounds – especially students.”While cash-strapped cricket fans will be celebrating the opportunity to watch some games, there are some concerns that CSA could be undervaluing an important asset – essentially the country’s premier domestic T20 competition until the SA20 kicks off next year. English attacker Callum Hudson-Odoi emerged out of the club’s academy as a teenager, looking to be the next big thing to make his mark on the first team in West London.
The now 24-year-old first showcased his talents on a consistent basis in 2018/19, making 24 appearances, scoring five times and registering five assists – looking way beyond his tender age.
Such a run of form would see interest from European giants Bayern Munich, but the Blues would stand firm, rejecting a loan with an option to buy for £70m – highlighting his importance to the club, with the hierarchy showing faith in his development.
However, an achilles injury in April 2019 would halt his progress at his boyhood side, sidelining him for an extended period and dropping him down the pecking order as a result.
Hudson-Odoi would move on loan to Bayer Leverkusen in 2022/23 to try and resurrect his promising career, before ending his spell with the Blues and joining Nottingham Forest for just £3m two years ago.
The move would allow the winger to thrive in the Premier League once again, registering eight goals and two assists in his debut campaign in the East Midlands – leading to talent scout Jacek Kulig dubbing him as “superb”.
He’s once again continued his stellar form during this campaign, scoring the only goal in the Reds’ victory against Liverpool at Anfield, remaining as the only side to defeat Arne Slot’s side in the league.

As a result of his displays, Forest have valued the forward at £40m, an increase of 1235% from the fee the Blues sold him for less than two years ago, subsequently seeing him worth more than Mudryk, who’s now valued at just £25m by Transfermarkt.
Given the re-emergence of Hudson-Odoi, the decision to allow him to leave for such a minimal fee is now one that looks to be a huge mistake, potentially offloading a player who could have played a vital role under Maresca.
Mudyrk has ultimately failed to match the expectations of his big-money transfer fee, with the hierarchy now facing a similar situation in taking the risk of offloading the Ukrainian and suffering a repeat of Hudson-Odoi.

West Ham signed the Irishman on a six-month straight loan with no buy-option clause, and until now, it’s remained unclear whether Potter’s side are planning to negotiate a permanent deal for Ferguson past this campaign.
Reports suggest that West Ham have identified Man United striker Rasmus Hojlund as an alternative, with journalist Graeme Bailey now shedding further light on Ferguson’s long-term future at the London Stadium.

The 27-year-old has scored eight goals and bagged five assists across 33 appearances in all competitions, but he’s said to be keen on making a return to the Premier League and battling his way into Thomas Tuchel’s England squad.
West Ham are exploring the possibility of signing Abraham this summer, as per Bailey, following reports last summer that Roma will demand up to £25 million to sell him outright.
This is not the first time they’ve been tipped to move for the former Chelsea star, with reports as far back as 2021 sharing West Ham’s interest in signing Abraham during his Stamford Bridge days.

Matthew Wade has proven himself to be a man for a crisis yet again after his century inspired a Tasmania fightback in their Sheffield Shield clash with New South Wales.Wade struck 146 off 198 balls to lead Tasmania to 8 for 329 at stumps on day one at Blundstone Arena. The wicketkeeper arrived at the crease after lunch with the Tigers in trouble at 4 for 56.NSW paceman Chris Tremain (3-49) caused the early damage with the wickets of Tim Ward (5), Jake Doran (2) and Jordan Silk (9) to put Tasmania on the back foot. The departure of Caleb Jewell for 53 left the Tigers wobbling at 5 for 95.Wade has built a reputation for digging his teams out of trouble with rearguard fightbacks and this occasion was no different. The 34-year-old’s driving through the covers was exquisite, with his timing and placement a feature. His 114-run partnership with Beau Webster (41) put Tasmania back on track, and Jarrod Freeman (32) and Jackson Bird (28 not out) joined in on the fun to further frustrate NSW’s attack.Wade finished with 18 fours and one six before being dismissed by Ben Dwarshuis (4-88) on the final ball of the day. It meant Wade fell just six runs short of matching his highest first-class score of 152.The Blues lost in-form batter Daniel Hughes to Covid-19 before play in a major blow. He scored 91 in his most recent Shield match, and followed it up with 139 in NSW’s one-day loss to South Australia.Tim Paine was a notable absentee for Tasmania, with Doran instead named as wicketkeeper.
