وجه أنجي بوستيكوجلو، المدير الفني لفريق توتنهام، تحذيرًا إلى ليفربول قبل مباراتهما المرتقبة مساء يوم الأحد المقبل، في بطولة الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز.

ويستضيف ملعب “الأنفيلد” مباراة الفريقين في الجولة الرابعة والثلاثين من الدوري الإنجليزي، موسم 2024/25.

ويستطيع ليفربول حسم لقب الدوري الإنجليزي بشكل رسمي حال فوزه على توتنهام، إذا لم يمنحه آرسنال اللقب غدًا حال خسارته أمام كريستال بالاس.

وخاض توتنهام مباراته أمس في الجولة الثالثة والثلاثين ضد نوتينجهام فورست، حيث خسر بهدفين لهدف.

ورغم الهزيمة، فإن أنجي بوستيكوجلو يرى أن توتنهام قادر على إلحاق الهزيمة بكتيبة آرني سلوت.

وقال أنجي بوستيكوجلو، في تصريحات نشرتها صحيفة “ميرور” الإنجليزية: “الأمر يتطلب بعض التوازن، علينا أن نكون أذكياء فيما نفعله، علينا كذلك أن نكون مستعدين لمباراة الخميس بعد أسبوع (ضد بودو في ذهاب نصف نهائي الدوري الأوروبي)، مع بقاء لاعبينا في كامل لياقتهم البدنية”.

وأضاف: “من المؤكد أنه سيكون اختبارًا جيدًا ضد ليفربول، إذا لعبنا كما فعلنا ضد نوتينجهام مع الحفاظ على مستوى تركيزنا المطلوب، فسنتمكن من حسم المباراة لصالحنا”.

وواصل: “لا أعتقد أننا شاهدنا فريقًا يفتقر إلى الحماس، لم نخسر لأن اللاعبين لم يقدموا ما عليهم، إذا كان هذا ما شاهده الناس، فهم يشاهدون شيئًا مختلفًا بالنسبة لي”.

واسترسل: “لا أعتقد أنهم افتقروا إلى الحماس، لأنني أعتقد أن أداءنا كان رائعًا، ولكننا دفعنا ثمن افتقارنا للتركيز في اللحظات الحاسمة”.

Ahead of the January transfer window, Newcastle have set out to make two new signings, with Football Insider revealing they are planning to strengthen at right wing and centre-back.

Eddie Howe is said to be determined to strengthen his squad as we enter the second half of the Premier League season, having been unable to make as many signings as he may have liked in the summer due to financial restrictions.

The need for a centre-back is particularly pressing, having missed out on Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi in the summer despite extensive negotiations, and the Magpies also feel they are a little light on options at right wing.

Another position that Newcastle looked at strengthening back in the summer was goalkeeper, as reported by The Daily Mail, with James Trafford coming close to completing a move to St’ James Park. The report also reveals that Howe is set to make a renewed attempt to sign Trafford in 2025, having retained a strong interest in the goalkeeper as a potential long-term replacement for Nick Pope.

A summer move is the more likely scenario, as the 22-year-old is playing every game for Burnley in their Championship promotion race as they attempt to gain promotion back to the Premier League.

However, it seems as though there may be a good chance of Newcastle finally getting their man, given that he is said to be keen on the move, so it will be interesting to see how the situation develops next year.

A Confederação Brasileira de Futebol (CBF) fechou com o Grupo Globo para as transmissões, portanto, os jogos serão transmitidos no SporTV, canal fechado da empresa. Além disso, a Band é detentora dos direitos de exclusividade para a TV Aberta, com contrato até o final do ano. Transmitindo desde 2019, a emissora planeja passar 20 jogos na TV Aberta em 2022, com estimativa de faturamento de R$ 80 milhões com o futebol feminino.

Mulheres dominam entre treinadoras e ganham espaço na narração

O Campeonato Brasileiro de 2022 terá o maior número de mulheres treinadoras da história. Dessa forma, serão cinco, superando a edição anterior, com quatro. Vale destacar que quando tudo começou, em 2013, apenas o Tuna Luso (PA), com Aline Costa, tinha uma treinadora. Confira a lista de mulheres treinadoras no Campeonato Brasileiro 2022:

Entre todas, a treinadora do Grêmio, Patrícia Gusmão, é quem está a mais tempo no comando de um time no Brasileirão, chegando ao Imortal em 2017, passando pelo Internacional e retornando em 2019.

No Red Bull Bragantino, a aposta é na ex-jogadora Rosana, que estreou na função pelo Athletico Paranaense na temporada anterior. Por fim, no Santos, Tatiele Silveira é quem comanda, e ela está finalizando a licença PRO da CBF, enquanto chega a sua quarta temporada no Futebol Feminino.

Além disso, as mulheres também vêm ganhando espaço no futebol feminino com as transmissões, inclusive, com narradoras. Aos 32 anos, Renata Silveira entrou para a história como a primeira mulher a narrar um jogo de futebol na Globo em TV Aberta. Além dela, nomes como Luciana Mariano, Natália Lara e Isabelly Morais ganham destaque com a narração das partidas.

The January transfer window officially opens for business on Wednesday and it could be a busy month of business for the underperforming Glasgow Rangers.

Philippe Clement’s side have won one of their last five matches in all competitions, losing the League Cup final to Celtic at Hampden Park in that time, and recently lost 2-1 to St Mirren.

The Light Blues are now 14 points behind Celtic in the Scottish Premiership table and look set to miss out on the title for a fourth straight season.

Clement and Nils Koppen could, now, look to make some changes to the underperforming squad in January in an attempt to enjoy an improved second half of the campaign, and Cyriel Dessers moving on from Ibrox is one objective that they should have on their to-do-list.

Why Cyriel Dessers should be sold

Earlier this month, it was reported that Ligue 1 side Saint-Etienne have an interest in signing the Nigeria international from the Gers in the winter window.

Rangers must take advantage of that and ruthlessly cash in on the centre-forward, who has not proven to be a reliable option for Clement at the top end of the pitch this season.

As you can see in the table above, Dessers has been incredibly wasteful in front of goal throughout the campaign, with 15 ‘big chances’ missed across the Premiership and the Europa League.

The 30-year-old dud, who has also been a lightweight in duels, should now be moved on when the January transfer window opens up, to free space in the squad for a new forward to come in.

The player who should replace Cyriel Dessers

Clement, however, may not need to dip into the market to find a replacement for Dessers because he could save the club a fortune by, simply, unleashing B team starlet Zak Lovelace.

The 18-year-old whiz, who finally returned to action in September after 320 days out with a hamstring injury, recently showcased his quality for the youth side by scoring the winner in the Glasgow Cup against Celtic, as shown below.

Lovelace has been a terrific player for the academy since his initial move from Millwall in the summer of 2022 at the age of 16, at which point he was described as an “exciting” young talent by former sporting director Ross Wilson.

The teenage dynamo enjoyed a sensational debut campaign with the youth sides, scoring 18 goals and providing ten assists in 35 appearances across all competitions.

His form was impressive enough to earn him two first-team appearances at the age of 17 in the second half of that term, before playing twice in the Premiership at the start of the 2023/24 campaign before his long-term hamstring injury.

Lovelace’s goal against Celtic recently shows that he is now back on track and could be ready to step back into the first-team set-up to offer Clement another option at the top end of the pitch.

The 18-year-old starlet’s form for the academy suggests that there is a forward there with the potential to provide quality as both a scorer and a creator of goals, which could make him an exciting replacement for Dessers – saving the club from splashing out millions on a replacement in the process.

ووافق مجلس إدارة نادي الزمالك، برئاسة حسين لبيب، على اعتذار عبد الواحد السيد، عن عدم الاستمرار في منصبه، بعد رحيل البرتغالي جوزيه بيسيرو، المدير الفني.

وقرر الزمالك تعيين عبد الواحد السيد، في منصب نائب المشرف العام على قطاع الكرة بالنادي، استنادًا لخبراته الإدارية.

في البداية، أود أن أشكر كل من اهتم وسأل عني بعد شرف العمل كمدير كرة بنادي الزمالك لمدة قاربت العامين، لقد كان لي الفخر أن أكون دومًا جزءًا من هذا الكيان العظيم، سواء كلاعب أو إداري أو مشجع.

انتهت رحلتي كمدير للكرة بالزمالك، ولكن لم تنتهِ قصة وشغف حب هذا النادي، كنت أتمنى أن تكون هناك ظروف أفضل للاعتذار عن استكمال المهمة، ولكن الحمد لله على ما وصلت إليه.

كانت فكرة الاعتذار تراودني في أوقات كثيرة، خاصة في أوقات التتويج قبل الإخفاقات، ولكن ربما كانت هناك عوامل تمنعني، بالتأكيد حينما رأيت الاحتياج للاستقرار في أصعب الأمور، وربما أكبر التحديات، كانت في المرحلة الانتقالية بين المجلس السابق والحالي، فهي الأصعب بالتأكيد، أن تأخذ الثقة من الجميع فهو شرف لي، وحاولت بقدر المستطاع أن أكون على قدر هذه الثقة.

الحمد لله، لم أحاول أن أتخاذل في أداء مهام عملي طوال هذه المدة، ربما يصنفها البعض بالناجحة، وربما جانبها بعض الصواب. فهناك من يرى أن هناك نقاطًا إيجابية وأخرى سلبية، ولكن في النهاية، أنا راضٍ جدًا عن أدائي وعما وصلت إليه، والحكم في النهاية للجميع، و كل الآراء فوق رأسي، لأني في النهاية بشر أخطئ وأصيب، وبالتأكيد تعلمت كثيرًا من هذه التجربة، ولكن في النهاية كانت خدمة الزمالك هي بوصلتي.

أشكر كل من قال كلمة إشادة في حقي، وأعتذر إذا صدر مني ما أغضب أحدًا، ولكني حاولت بقدر المستطاع، في ظل الظروف المتاحة، بكل طاقتي، أن أحافظ على وحدة الفريق ولاعبيه وأجهزته الفنية المختلفة، و هناك العديد من العوامل التي كانت يمكنها أن تجعل التجربة أفضل وأفضل بالتأكيد/ ولكن في النهاية، يكفي أني بذلت كل جهدي، وحاولت بقدر استطاعتي ألا أتخلى عن الفريق في ظروف كثيرة كانت صعبة عليّ وعلى الفريق.

وفي النهاية، قررت أن أعتذر عن عدم استكمال مهمتي، حتى أترك المجال لمن بعدي في استكمال ما وصلت إليه، وأتمنى للكابتن وائل القباني التوفيق والنجاح، وأنا في أتم الاستعداد دومًا لمساندة ومساعدة الفريق في أي وقت.

Newcastle United fans will be hoping that 2025 is the year they finally see their confident side hold a major trophy aloft, with the Magpies’ last piece of significant silverware domestically coming all the way back in 1955 when they won the FA Cup.

Of course, they did lift a Championship title back in 2017, but everyone at St James’ Park would jump for joy just that little bit more if they managed to win the EFL Trophy final, having already dispatched Arsenal in comfortable fashion 2-0 in the first of two semi-final legs to give themselves a fantastic chance of a Wembley day out.

With their form in the Premier League also very impressive, with five victories picked up on the trot, everything looks to be rosey for Eddie Howe’s Toon.

But, as is often the case with football, an unwanted fork in the road can trouble a team unexpectedly.

In the case of the Magpies, it’s the long-term future of sharpshooter Alexander Isak that will be making them feel somewhat uneasy, with Arsenal and other top-flight clubs reportedly sniffing around their star man.

As has been recently reported, the Toon have one eye on Lille star Jonathan David who has his own contract issues bubbling away at the Ligue 1 outfit.

Indeed, David is out of contract come the end of this season, and with suggestions from one of his international teammates for Canada in Jonathan Osario that he is a “superstar” striker, Newcastle could show they mean business snapping up such a revered attacker for nothing as a best possible Isak replacement.

After all, the clinical 24-year-old is already up to 11 strikes in Ligue 1 this term from 17 games – which is only two off Isak’s blistering total in England – with David now potentially wanting to test himself away from France in a fresh environment to reaffirm his tag as a clinical machine in-front of goal.

He is even noted as being similar to Harry Kane according to FBref’s similar players tool- which is quite the glowing appraisal of David – with Newcastle supporters’ intrigue only growing with this comparison, considering Kane fired home a ridiculous 280 goals for Tottenham Hotspur before later being a menace in the Bundesliga.

Whilst both players, when looking at the table above, clearly succeed as strikers who operate as poachers – with minimal attempted passes on offer but a high amount of touches in the attacking penalty areas – David does have the same feel to him as Isak in terms of his mobility, with more progressive carries managed than Kane at 1.21 per game, with Isak managing 2.66.

Also willing to receive a progressive pass and burst forward, David could be the ideal replacement Howe is looking for if Isak does depart, as Newcastle go about preparing many a contingency plan.

Somerset put themselves one step closer to qualification for the Vitality Blast quarter-finals with a 16-run win over Glamorgan in Cardiff.Persistent rain reduced the match to a seven-over contest with Glamorgan putting Somerset into bat. Early wickets pegged the visitors back but some powerful blows from Tom Abell and Ben Green took Somerset to 75 for 6.Just as was the case with the Somerset innings, Glamorgan suffered early losses as they got the chase underway. Unlike Somerset they did not have the late acceleration to get them to their target with Colin Ingram playing a lone hand to finish on 37 not out.Victory takes Somerset to 16 points, and while a quarter-final isn’t a mathematical certainty they are extremely well placed.Once the match got underway Michael Neser gave Glamorgan the perfect start with the ball. Somerset lost the wickets of Tom Banton and Rilee Rossouw from consecutive balls, both batters dismissed for golden ducks. Banton attempted to scoop a length ball to the boundary and it crashed into his stumps. Rossouw pulled a shorter ball into the hands Sam Northeast at midwicket.Somerset’s batting efforts received another blow in the second over, Will Smeed chipped a ball from Michael Hogan to Andrew Salter at mid-off for 3. His wicket meant that Somerset were 7 for 3 inside the first two overs.Prem Sissodya’s first over also brought a wicket, Lewis Gregory edging behind to wicket-keeper Alex Horton for 7 to leave his side 15 for 4. The second over from Sissodya contained two boundaries before he bowled Tom Lammonby for 18 to leave Somerset at 41 for 5 with two overs to go.Michael Hogan almost claimed his second wicket of the night when he came back into the attack when Abell hit a drive high into the Cardiff sky. Kiran Carlson was the fielder and he couldn’t hold on to what would have been a very impressive catch.Abel and Green were impressive in the final two overs, putting on 34 runs in 13 balls at the end of the Somerset innings.Glamorgan’s pursuit of the 76 run target got off to a poor start, Northeast becoming the third player to be dismissed first ball when he edged Craig Overton through to Banton. David Lloyd fell the following over, bowled by Peter Siddle for just 1 to reduced Glamorgan to 17 for 2.Dan Douthwaite, promoted up the order in this shortened game, lasted four balls before be holed out on the boundary edge for just 3 with Green picking up the wicket. Green’s impressive all-round performance continued in his second over when Kiran Carlson edged him through to Banton for 7.Ingram and Eddie Byrom where left with 38 runs required from just 12 balls. That equation became 32 from 11 when Byrom smashed Josh Davey for six but the Glamorgan batter was trapped lbw the very next ball.Ingram swung manfully in the final over but there was too much left to do with Somerset claiming their eighth win of this Blast campaign.
